Gustavo Petro has crossed the line. Standing on U.S. soil, the Colombian president urged American soldiers to disobey orders — an act of reckless incitement no responsible leader would dare. This isn’t “humanitarian concern,” it’s pure anti-American agitation.
Petro has already severed ties with Israel, smeared it as “genocidal,” and aligned himself with extremist causes. Now he openly seeks to undermine U.S. sovereignty by calling for disobedience in the ranks of our armed forces. That’s not diplomacy — that’s sabotage.
The State Department was right to revoke his visa. Petro has turned Colombia into a megaphone for anti-Western extremism, disgracing his own nation in the process. He is not a statesman. He’s a dangerous agitator, a destabilizer, and a shame to the office he holds.
Petro belongs in history’s dustbin — alongside other demagogues who mistook recklessness for courage.
